UroMatch University ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website at uromatchuniversity.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from users ("you"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have regarding your data.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties, ever.

  • Payment Information: When you purchase a subscription or coaching session, payment details (card number, billing address) are entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form. UroMatch University never receives, stores, or has access to your full payment card details. We may retain a record of the transaction amount, date, and a masked card identifier provided by Stripe for billing reference.
  • Usage Data: We may collect anonymized or aggregated data about how users interact with the Site (e.g., pages visited, session duration) to improve our services.
  • Communications: If you contact us by email, we retain records of that correspondence.
  • Coaching Session Information: Information you share during a coaching session (e.g., application materials you voluntarily submit) is used solely to provide the coaching service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Account Management: To create and maintain your user account, authenticate your identity, and manage your subscription access.
  • Service Delivery: To provide you with access to purchased content and to schedule and conduct coaching sessions.
  • Billing: To process payments, manage renewals and cancellations, and issue refunds through Stripe.
  • Communications: To respond to your inquiries, send transactional emails (e.g., purchase confirmations, booking confirmations), and, if you have opted in, to send occasional updates about new content or services. You may unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time.
  • Site Improvement: To analyze usage patterns and improve the quality and functionality of the Site.
  • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and to enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We share your information with the following third-party processors to operate the Site. These parties are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it as directed by us:

Supabase

We use Supabase to host our database and manage user authentication. Your account information (name, email, hashed password, and subscription status) is stored on Supabase's secure infrastructure. Supabase's privacy practices are governed by their own privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.

Stripe

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a purchase, your payment card data is submitted directly to Stripe and is governed by Stripe's security standards (PCI-DSS compliant). UroMatch University never stores your card details on our systems. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties except as required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of UroMatch University or its users.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account remains active or as necessary to provide you with services. If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to the following:

  • We may retain transaction records (including billing history) for the period required by applicable tax and financial record-keeping laws, typically up to seven (7) years.
  • Information held by Supabase or Stripe may be subject to their own retention policies.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot be linked to you individually may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights with respect to your personal information:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Opt-Out of Marketing: You may unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The Site is intended for use by medical students and other adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will promptly delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. These include use of encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure third-party infrastructure (Supabase, Stripe), and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
